MISSOULA, Mont. -

A 46-year-old Butte man faces several charges after Missoula County deputies stopped his vehicle for traveling the wrong direction on Interstate 90 east of Clinton.

According to Sheriff's spokeswoman Paige Pavalone, John L. Braunreiter was highly intoxicated and told deputies who stopped him on Sunday that he didn't know he had been driving. He refused to give officers a breath sample.

Pavalone says this is Braunreiter's third charge for driving under the influence. He also faces six felony counts of criminal endangerment along with reckless driving, driving without insurance and driving while his license was suspended
