As residents of Bozeman got ready to start their Labor Day weekend, one normally quiet neighborhood was buzzing with the news that a brown bear decided to make a rest stop in a very tall spruce tree. Word spread quickly, with kids and adults eagerly wanting to catch a glimpse of their new visitor. MORE

A unique science lab at Montana State University is getting national recognition. Popular Science magazine featured the Subzero Science and Engineering Research Facility as one of the most "mind-blowing" college labs in the state. Temperatures in these labs drop below freezing so they can study ice structures and how the cold affects projects. MORE

Against a blue sky, Mike Carisch flew his helicopter over the Gallatin Valley in honor of his friend Perry Krinitt. Krinitt died in Kamiah, Idaho when the helicopter he was piloting crashed to the ground. MORE
