MISSOULA, Mont. -

The Missoula County attorney's office plans to file charges against two teens who reportedly confessed to taking marijuana, wallets and other items from a residence in the weeks before a German exchange student was shot to death in the garage.

Deputy County Attorney Jason Marks tells the Missoulian that 18-year-old Tristan Staber is expected to appear in Justice Court Thursday on a charge of conspiracy to commit burglary. He was booked into jail on April 19 on a probation violation, a week before 17-year-old Diren Dede was shot in Markus Kaarma's garage. Kaarma is charged with deliberate homicide.

Marks says the other burglary suspect is a minor and his case will be handled in Youth Court.

Charging documents in Kaarma's case say the teens confessed to the burglaries at Kaarma's house.
