MISSOULA, Mont. -- Missoula leaders cut the ribbon on the Rattlesnake Gateway Project Thursday. It aims to make one part of Missoula more accessible to runners, walkers and bikers."To be honest, along the way, I got pretty discouraged," organizer Jeff Rolston-Clemmer said. "It was really difficult. But, to think that it's actually finally being done, it does feel really great. And it does make me feel more apart of the community."The project started more than 13 years ago. Rolston-Clemmens lived in a nearby house and decided the intersection of Greenough Drive and Madison Street needed help. He got together with neighbors and they started planning.Last year, stimulus funds sealed the deal. The city installed sidewalks, curbs, bike lanes and crossings. The entire project cost $225,000.
