Adam Painter
After a two and a half year hiatus, Adam Painter rejoined the First Alert weather team in July 2009. He originally had a blast keeping Monte Turner on his toes during Montana Today from December 2004 to December 2006. He then moved to Rockford, Illinois to work as the morning meteorologist for WREX-TV. Oddly enough it was an NBC 13 as well. After 30 months of covering everything from devastating floods to tornadic outbreaks across the Midwest, he jumped at the opportunity to reunite with his former team.
Adam's passion for weather started at a young age. He was always the kid with his face pressed up against the window anytime wild weather was moving through. Growing up in a western suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota gave him ample opportunities to experience all the four seasons have to offer. His college years were spent at Iowa State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in meteorology. From there he gained great experience from numerous internships as well as freelance work at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa before making his first trek to Big Sky Country.
When Adam isn't forecasting, you can find him playing basketball wherever pick-up games are found, ripping divots out of local golf courses, or skiing the slopes of western Montana.
