Saturday marks the end of the legion baseball season with the state championship game taking place. Unfortunately for the Bozeman Bucks their loss to Med Hat Thursday marked the end of their season.

The Bozeman Bucks trailed 8-1 late in Thursday nights game, they made a valiant comeback but it came up just short. But that will to fight until the end is what this team says they have done all season long.

"We've done that all year and it shows the true character of our club," said Bucks head baseball coach Dave Legg. "You know we were a little short on pitching all year and it kind of rared up today but you know the heart they have to keep competing and try and make a comeback its been that way all year and I'm very proud of that."

"Well I mean its been a great year and we've been doing this a lot," said Bucks infielder Conner Linebarger. "We've had a lot of games where we just kept fighting and I mean this is one of them but it didn't turn out the way we wanted but still we came back and played to the best we can and I'm definitely proud of the team and its been a great season."

"This is a team that has persevered a lot, you know we're a little undermanned but whatever we can do to win this is what this team has been doing," said Bucks fielder Bennett Hostetler.

"We've done it all year, we started from the very beginning when we were playing Great Falls," said Bucks infielder Chad Mackay. "We've been down this whole entire year but we always seemed to fight back and most of the time we found a way to win this time it was just not the case."

The Bozeman Bucks end the state tournament with a 1-2 record.
