MISSOULA, Mont. -

The Great Falls Tribune is asking a judge to order the release of documents involving the firing of the general manager of a county-owned events and entertainment venue.

An attorney representing the Tribune filed papers Friday intervening in a lawsuit by former ExpoPark General Manager Lisa Bracco against Cascade County. Bracco filed her lawsuit after the county fired her earlier in May.

Bracco is accusing county commissioners of violating the open meeting law and Montana Constitution for failing to notify her, or the public, of two meetings commissioners convened to discuss her employment.

The Tribune reports (http://gftrib.com/1kUtqq2 ) that the county contends advance notice of the closed April 29 and May 16 meetings was given in the commissioners' public calendar kept on the front counter of its office.
