BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Central Valley Fire rushes to a blaze Thursday afternoon, that started as a grass fire but quickly spread to the shop building next to it.

Crews responded to a large vehicle shop in the area of Frank and Weaver roads southeast of Belgrade.

CVFD Chief Ron Lindroth said crews quickly got a hold of the blaze, which broke out just before 4:15 pm. He said the fire burned half of the front room.

The garage-- which had tools, a boat, vintage truck, and two cars-- was not damaged, he said.

No one was injured, and Lindroth said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Lindroth thanked the quick reporting of a passing motorist, who first noticed the fire, for the department's fast response and being able to stop the blaze from spreading.
