KALISPELL, Mont. -

A Columbia Falls man was in court Monday following a weekend crash.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, Connor Taylor was headed home after a night of drinking. He lost control of his truck on Highway 206 near Columbia Falls, the car rolled over and he slammed into a few storage units.

The crash happened on Sunday morning around 9:40 a.m. Investigators say Taylor smelled of alcohol and admitted to have been drinking.

The owner of the storage facility, Montana Mini Storage, says the damage is quite extensive.

"The back of three units destroyed. This vehicle, there's another vehicle in one of the other units, it's damaged. The back of the units is opened up totally," said owner Ron Parker.

Taylor was issued a ticket for DUI and appeared in Flathead County Justice Court Monday. The judge released him on his own recognizance. He'll be back in court next month.

Seven units in total were damaged, including two cars inside of those units. There is no estimate yet on how much it will cost to fix the units, however Parker had a contractor come out to the site and the units will have to be rebuilt along with the entire roof of the building.
