It's the first Crown of the Continent Guitar Workshop and Festival in the Flathead Valley. It has teamed up with the National Guitar Workshop organization to bring some of the best instructors for the event.Instructors and organizers claim there is one thing that makes this workshop different from all the rest. It's around nature in a smaller, more intimate setting. Instructors and students say the environment helps bring more inspiration."These are the top dogs in the world. These guys play the guitar like no one can, and it's very humbling for me. My goal is to sit back and learn as much as I possibly can, so I can take whatever pointers they give me. [I'll] apply it to my career as a musician," commented guitar student Steve Prunty. The workshop and festival go through September 5th. Several performances by the guitar instructors and virtuosos occur throughout the week. For more information, go to cocguitarfoundation.org
