The Flathead Land Trust celebrated 25 years of conservation Saturday night. The board held a commemoration event at the Pavillion at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell.Local performers, caterers and a look back at 25 years of achievement were all part of the event. FLT's mission is conserving land and natural resources around the Flathead Valley. Since it began, it holds more than 11,000 acres in conservation easements."I think it's very heartwarming to me as president of the board to see the enthusiasm that we've had, the interest in this event and the success that I think the event is going to be," commented Jim Rejnier.FLT sold close to 200 tickets for the event. They say their next focus is on preserving lands on the north end of Flathead Lake.

NBC Montana confirmed 34-year-old Jeremy Mata was arrested in Mt. Vernon, Wash., Tuesday.
Skagit County jail officials said Mata was arrested and being held for being a fugitive of justice in Montana and is wanted for homicide.
