KALISPELL, Mont. -

Wildlife workers caught two young grizzlies on May 16 off LaBrant road east of Kalispell. Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks officials say the pair had crawled under a fence and killed eight chickens, and had been in the neighborhood for a few days.

Grizzly Bear Management Specialist Tim Manley say the bears are about 2 1/2 years old and weighed 167 and 176 pounds. He says there's a possibility they were siblings. The grizzlies were released on May 17 near the Hungry Horse Reservoir.
