BIGFORK, Mont. -

A Kalispell woman walked away from an early Saturday morning crash only to die in her sleep hours later.

Montana Highway Patrol said the woman was speeding on Foothill Road in Bigfork when she hit a Cable TV box, a barbed wire fence, and several trees. They said she left the scene of an accident and was picked up by her mother. Sheriff's deputies told us they were called to the mother's house late Saturday afternoon where the woman died in her sleep.

MHP said it's unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved. The case is currently under investigation.
