MISSOULA, Mont. -

Friday's weather knocked out power to several Missoula neighborhoods. Northwestern Energy says the moisture and the change in weather cracked a piece of equipment on a three-phase power pole.

The failure took out power to homes in the Farviews, Hillcrest, Whitaker and Mansion Heights neighborhoods in the southern part of the city.

Crews were called to the area at 7:00 tonight. Northwestern Energy says electricity should be restored to all customers by 10:00 p.m.

One piece of equipment called a cut-out that protects wires cracked. There are three on the affected pole.

Northwestern Energy is replacing all three cut-outs to make sure the power supply is stable.
