Missoula Sheriff's investigators call the death of a Seeley Lake toddler an accidental drowning.

NBC Montana reported Friday afternoon how 2 ½ year-old Pearl Butler wandered away from home.

A deputy found her unconscious in a nearby creek. He drove the little girl out to meet an ambulance that rushed her to the hospital in Missoula. Efforts to revive her failed.
