KALISPELL, Mont. -

Just in time for warm weather, Kalispell is getting it's first taste of Sweet Peaks... Ice cream, that is!

Today is the second anniversary of the opening of Sweet Peaks in Whitefish, so owners celebrated in true fashion by opening up a Kalispell location on Fourth and Main. The shop is known for their homemade creations like lemon dill, peanut butter and jelly, as well as hand-rolled waffle cones.

Owners Marissa and Sam Dauenhauer say this store is their third Sweet Peaks, following Whitefish and Bigfork. They hope Kalispell is lucky number three.

"Marissa grew up in Bigfork and I actually went to high school a couple blocks away from here," said Sam, "so to kind of come back to Kalispell and do something for us is pretty amazing. We've been able to enjoy the Whitefish community and then Bigfork and now it's natural that we want to enjoy Kalispell too."

Sweet Peaks is open every day, but they say they're currently operating on their winter schedule.
