MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula probably won't be breaking the record high temperature on Sunday of 83°, but we'll be getting close!

Everybody starts off with baby blue skies before turning partly cloudy during the afternoon. A couple of rogue thunderstorms may start to spark late in the day, but I anticipate that most backyard barbecues stay completely dry. Highs end up some 15 to 20 degrees above average.

Monday appears to be another day with the potential for near record heat. Temperatures turn hot by late April standards with another round of isolated thunderstorms during the late afternoon and early evening hours.

The unusual warmth sticks around into the middle of the work week. I don't anticipate much of a cooldown until next Friday when widespread rains return.
