MISSOULA, Mont. -

Rivers in Missoula are not at flood stage. But they are rising.

The Bitterroot River near Missoula is at 9.82 feet and could rise two more feet Friday. The Clark Fork is more than 8-and-a-half feet and could rise to almost 10 feet tomorrow.

George Rasmussen likes to monitor the river. Rasmussen watched from the California Street Foot Bridge.

"It's getting high," said Rasmussen, and pointed across the river. "Ducks had a nest over there and now it's under water," said the watcher.
