The Bozeman School District is taking steps towards helping students who may be at risk of not graduating.
Graduation Matters Gallatin is a designed to engage students and improve graduation rates.
In August, the district will implement the A2X or Alternative to Expulsion program.
Students in the A2X Program will get core academic instruction and counseling for specific behavior issues.
The goal is to build communication, social interaction, and study skills.
Bozeman School Superintendent Kirk Miller says he hopes the programs will boost Bozeman's graduation rates.
"If we're going to get to a graduation rate of 100%, which means you start as a freshman and four years later you graduate from high school, we can't just check people off the list and say you can't come to school and leave them excluded for a year or six months or whatever that might be," says Miller.
