The Humane Society of Western Montana wrapped up their weekend adoption drive Sunday.
Thanks to an $8,000 eight grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the humane society was able to host their Mega Match-A-Thon. The grant money helped pay for spaying and neutering, vaccinantions and micro chips for all of the animals.
More than 100 cats and dogs were adopted during the event.
?We were able to hold the largest adopt-a-thon in the state. We brought in an extra 100 dogs and cats from other shelters in Western Montana, so that there was really a pet for everybody,? said Director Lora O?Connor.
