University of Montana Western head men?s basketball coach Steve Keller announced the signing of Connor Woodill, a 6-foot-4 guard from Missoula, Mont., to a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter of intent.
?We are very excited that Connor has joined our basketball program at Montana Western,? Keller said. ?Connor will bring some size and athleticism to the Bulldog backcourt. He can shoot the three and will be able to defend any of the guard positions.?
Woodill played basketball for head coach Jeff Hays at Hellgate High School and graduated in 2011. In his senior year, he earned first team all-conference and all-state honors and averaged 12.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Woodill led Hellgate to a third place finish at the state AA basketball tournament and was named to the all-tournament team. In four games at the state tournament, he made 23 of 31 free throws while averaging 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Woodill did not play college basketball last year and will have four years of eligibility. He is the son of Jim and Patience Woodill and plans to major in psychology at Montana Western.
