NEW YORK CITY, NY. -

Two University of Montana students got their big break on national TV after they won a Fox News contest with their video about wolf hunting in Montana. One of the students, Kyle Schmauch, is a graduate of Glacier High School in Kalispell.

He says he picked the wolf story rather than other topics like medical marijuana and worker?s comp reform because it?s a controversial Montana issue, and one he?s encountered as an avid hunter. He and his partner Alexandra Schwier both won $5,000 scholarships, and a $10,000 grant for their school.

?Once we finally did manage to hook up on the phone and found out that we won it was quite the feeling for sure, that we pulled that off,? said Schmauch.
