BOZEMAN, Mont. -

The following is a news release from the Montana National Guard.

Montana Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Matthew T. Quinn, received notification today that Detachment 1, Charlie Company, a subordinate unit of the Montana Army National Guard?s 1-189th General Aviation Support Battalion (Helena) has arrived in the United States after a yearlong deployment in support of Operation New Dawn.

The approximately 60 Soldiers of the unit have arrived at their demobilization station, here. The Soldiers will begin the demobilization and out-processing over the next several days and are scheduled to arrive back in Montana in the next few weeks. The Soldiers will be completing the necessary demobilization paperwork, obtaining physicals and conducting accountability of their assigned equipment.

?Montana is proud to welcome this unit back to the United States after completing a successful mission,? said Maj. Gen. Quinn. ?We look forward to the day we can welcome them home to Montana and reunite them with their families.?

Charlie Company is an aviation medical evacuation company, flying UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.
