MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula County Public School Superintendent Alex Apostle is a finalist for Superintendent of Bellevue Schools in Western Washington.

The Bellevue School Board is announcing it will interview Apostle this Tuesday, May 22nd.

More than 18 thousand students attend Bellevue schools; about 10 thousand more than Missoula's.

The other two finalists in Bellevue are Dr. Mark Mitrovich of suburban Chicago and Dr. Justin Mills from North Clackamas schools Oregon.

Apostle has deep ties to Western Washington. He is the former assistant superintendent of Tacoma, Washington schools. One of his brothers is the current superintendent in the Puyallup, Washington School district and another brother is an assistant superintendent in Seattle. Apostle recently was a finalist for the Superintendent position in Spokane.
