Community members gathered at Fort Missoula today to celebrate Autism Awareness Month.
The Four Winds Autism Foundation hosted the event with help from other Missoula organizations. They say it was the perfect way to end Autism Awareness Month. Organizers planned some fun and free activities for children. The afternoon also aimed to raise awareness and provide information about Autism and other disorders.
?There are autistic people in all walks of life now. And we kind of need to know that it's all one community, we're all part of each other,? said Four Winds Founder Wes Brumwell. ?And just be aware that you may be next to somebody that might need a little bit of understanding.?
