The rivers are high around Missoula. But serious flooding isn't expected.
The Bitterroot River is swollen and running fast. There's been minor flooding in spots like a field near Lolo.
Much of the fishing access site at Woodside Cutoff near Corvallis is under water. Kimi Smith is a volunteer at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge near Stevensville. Waterfowl can swim across part of the road there. Cars splashed through it.
"The water can't even get into the river," said Smith, "The river is keeping it where it's at." The river is raging, said the volunteer. She said the geese love it. Smith was taking pictures of the birds on the refuge. And there were a lot of them out, having a good time, on Friday.
