A Livingston local and MSU alum reached the top of Mount Everest Friday.
Kris Erickson and four others reached the summit at 8:15 nepal time.
The climb was part of the Everest Education Expedition, a combined effort of MSU, National Geographic, The North Face and Mayo Clinic.
The program allowed school kids across Montana to track the group as they made their way to the summit.
