MSU decided on a spot for their new college of business building.
The $18 million building will be constructed in the northeast section of campus.
It's being financed with a $25 million gift from MSU alumnus Jake Jabs, owner of American Furniture Warehouse in Denver.
The location was among three a university board recommended to MSU President Waded Cruzado.
Officials say they spent weeks reviewing data on the sites and taking comment from students, faculty, staff and members of the public.
"That site was chosen because it really fits in well with the core of our academic buildings on campus and the reason that's important it that if we put a new building there, it allows us to continue to have a really nice pedestrian-friendly campus," says MSU spokesperson Tracy Ellig.
The site received the strongest vote of approval with 16 of the 19 members of the University Facilities Planning Board voting in favor of the North Wilson location.
