BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Reading efforts really paid off for 14 students at Bozeman's Longfellow Elementary, Friday.

The student's won brand new bikes from the bikes for books program. The southside Masonic Lodge 18 teamed up with Bangtail Bikes and Specialized to sponsor the program.

Some students say they read two hours a week for six weeks to be eligible to win.

School officials say the most important part is that the kids read, but say the bikes are certainly a great reward.

Kayla Wales says she was excited to win.

"I feel like I am going to explode," says Wales.

Quinn Gardner says it was a great moment when he heard his name called.

"I am happy that I got the bike, because my last bike broke," says Gardner.
