A 39-year-old Boise man has pleaded guilty in federal court to producing child pornography.
Ryan Leslie Matthews entered the guilty plea on Monday. He faces at least 15 years in prison and is set to be sentenced on Aug. 30.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson's office, Matthews was arrested after Boise police investigators developed information last fall that someone living at Matthews' address had been receiving child pornography over the internet. The investigators, who are part of the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, searched his apartment in December and found thousands of images of child pornography on more than 200 discs and hundreds of photos. They also found video of Matthews sexually abusing a three-year-old girl.
