MISSOULA, Mont. -

According to court records, former University of Montana football player, Beau Donaldson is in outpatient treatment for chemical dependency.

The documents indicate he started the Level 1 Outpatient Treatment at the end of last month. It?s the lowest level of outpatient treatment, and involves up to nine hours of group and or individual counseling a week.

Prosecutors allege Donaldson raped a woman in 2010 but the alleged victim didn't report it until last December. Investigators say Donaldson admitted to it during a police monitored phone call. They say he also blamed it on alcohol and pain killers.

Donaldson is scheduled to appear in court later this month to set a date for his trial. NBC Montana will keep you updated.
