The storm system that brought widespread rain to western Montana last night and today and showers and thunderstorms to southwest Montana last night will gradually move north into Canada. That will allow a break in the precipitation through Thursday, although there will enough moisture that an isolated shower cannot be ruled out on Thursday. A cold start to Thursday with patchy fog in areas that received heavy rain on Wednesday. Partly cloudy skies with temperatures warming into the 60s on Thursday. Another storm system will move into the region Friday through the weekend. A few showers and storms around Missoula and Kalispell on Friday and area wide over the weekend. Highs will drop back to the 50s over the weekend. Finally, a return to more normal late spring weather is expected by the middle of next week with highs back to the 70s.
