A cold front will push into western Montana tonight and stall across southwest Montana on Thursday. It will bring a few showers and storms to the Butte and Bozeman areas this evening, with a better chance on Thursday. Only a slight chance of showers around Missoula and Kalispell. Otherwise, partly to mostly cloudy skies with breezy and cooler conditions for Thursday. Highs will drop to the 60s to lower 70s. More of the same is expected Friday with a good chance of rain around Butte and Bozeman, but only a few showers possible around Missoula and Kalispell. Highs in the upper 50s and 60s on Friday.
Improving conditions are expected just in time for the weekend. High pressure will build back into the region with party to mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s to lower 70s Saturday and in the 70s to near 80 for Sunday.
