Don't expect the best BBQ weather this upcoming Memorial Day Holiday Weekend! We will continue to have unsettled and cool weather through Friday, with partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers and sprinkles. A strong storm system will move into the northern Rockies Friday night and Saturday. It will bring an even better chance of rain and mountain snow. In fact, snow levels will lower, with 4 to 12 inches of snow possible at some passes. Snow will also be possible in the West Yellowstone, Philipsburg and Georgetown Lake areas. A mixture of rain and snow is possible in the Butte and Bozeman areas with mainly rain and drizzle on Saturday in the Missoula and Kalispell areas. The storm system will slowly exit the region Sunday with lingering rain and snow showers. The best of the three day holiday weekend will be Monday, with partly cloudy skies and drier weather.
Temperatures will remain well below average, with highs in the 50s for the most part through Friday. Even cooler Saturday with highs in the 40s to lower 50s. Warming will finally come our way on Monday with highs back to the upper 50s and lower 60s.
