Another surge of Pacific moisture will move through western Montana late tonight and Wednesday. Increasing clouds tonight with showers developing after midnight. Valley rain and mountain snow showers are expected tomorrow. We could see a few inches of slushy snow in the West Yellowstone area along with area passes. In fact, a winter weather advisory for 3 to 7 inches of snow is posted for Chief Joseph, Targhee and Big Hole Passes in southwest Montana.

Showers will linger in some areas into early Thursday. Otherwise, partly cloudy and continued cool Thursday.

High pressure will build into the region late Friday through the weekend into early next week. This will be a great time to get out the BBQ and get some yard work done, too! We'll see at least some sunshine with highs warming into the 60s and 70s!
