A few thunderstorms are rumbling this morning. There will be a break in the showers and thunderstorms today. The majority of the day will be dry and storm free, but later this afternoon we could see another round of thunderstorms. Highs will be held down a little due to the clouds and rain, but we will still climb into the 70s.
A strong cold front will move into the region late Thursday, bringing a good chance of showers and storms late Thursday and Thursday night with showers on Friday. Locally heavy rain is possible, especially across northwest Montana where over an inch is possible. A trough of low pressure will then sit over the region through the weekend, bringing cloud and a few showers. Highs will drop to the 60s Thursday and then the upper 40s and 50s Friday and remaining in the 50s over the weekend.
