WINTER STORM WARNING for all areas east of the divide for Friday and Saturday, above 6500 feet. Snowfall of 3 to 6 inches in possible over Targhee Pass, Big Hole Pass, Chief Joseph Pass, Monida Pass, Raynolds Pass, and West Yellowstone. Above 7000 feet we could see 6 to 12 inches.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for the West Glacier Region. Essex and Marias Pass will see 1 to 2 inches of slushy snow, with up to 7 in the backcountry.
Noticeably colder today after the passage of a cold front. Areas of rain and snow expected throughout the day, with more expected this weekend. Two upper level storms will combine over Idaho and Wyoming Friday and Saturday, bringing a round of snow to the northern Rockies. The heaviest will fall along and east of the divide. Highs will drop to the 40s on Friday and the 40s and 50s over the weekend. More unsettled is expected Sunday through next week, with temperatures remaining below normal.
