BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Employees at a local record store say they're doing everything they can to keep it afloat.

Cactus Record is an independently owned music and novelty shop on Main Street in Bozeman.

The owner of the shop, Mike "Bueno" Good, says it just hasn't been generating enough cash to cover costs and says he'll have no choice but to sell if things don't improve.

Employees have organized a fundraiser to help out, saying Cactus is more than just a record store.

"People that come in and they like what we're playing and I think they're happier when they leave because of the music and because they look through something, even if they don't buy something. Not everyone buys something but I think they still get something every time they come in here and I think that's what Cactus means to a lot of people," says employee Klaralynn Gatz.

The fundraiser is Thursday night at the Zebra Cocktail Lounge.

Admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the door.
