Missoula, MONT. -

The Dillon Beavers are having are having a dandy of a sports year; just a few months after winning the State Championship on the gridiron they have taken the crown on the hardwoods as well.

Dillon (19-4) faced the defending Champs Columbia Falls in tonight's championship game, a surprise to nobody as this has been the same title matchup now in three of the past four years.

The Beavers jumped out to the advantage in the 1st quarter and never relinquished it as they cruised to the win by a final of 54-39.

Wes Knox and Ben Folsom led the scoring with 15 points each, J.T. Linder added 12 points to go with 8 rebounds and two blocks.

The Beavers could not be stopped an offense as they shot an astounding 57% from the floor in the contest. The Wildcats (21-2) on the other hand struggled to remove the lid from their basket; the defending champs shot just 34% from the floor.

Austin Barth was the only Wildcat to hit double digits on the night, finishing at exactly 10 points to go with 7 rebounds.
