Flathead deputies arrested a Kalispell man after he allegedly fired a handgun in the general direction of his neighbor. Sheriff Curry said 36-year old Matthew Heuer was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and transported to Flathead County?s jail.

?We did respond yesterday afternoon to a reported gun call west of Kalispell,? said Curry. ?Deputies arrived on scene and through their investigation did discover this was kind of a longstanding neighbor dispute.?

Heuer has been charged with felony assault with a weapon and was brought to jail on Tuesday afternoon.
