BUTTE, Mont. -

A car caught fire while traveling on interstate 90 in Butte Tuesday.

The car was heading west bound near the Harrison Ave exit when its engine caught fire.

Butte police and fire department arrived on scene just after 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The single car was the only one involved in the incident.

According to fire officials no one was injured.

However, the car is probably totaled.

The driver from Vermont told fire officials he was just passing through.

Fire officials said there is no cause for the fire. They said engine fires can start for a number of reason.
