Great news for Butte readers the public library received a $5,000 anonymous donation this week.
The donor requested the money be put towards adding more eBooks and audio books online.
According to library director Lee Miller they will be able to add about 200 books to the 2,000 books they have online.
"The community is very generous and they support us, but five thousand dollars goes a long way to buy e-books and audio books and we're really really excited to be able to expand what we offer and provide more copies to the public," Miller said.
Miller said electronic content helps older adults and folks who have vision problems.
With a library card people can download eBooks and audio books off of the library's website.
The content can be downloaded onto an iPad, smart phone, mp3 player, etc.
Miller said online content is a great tool, because it is accessible to everyone.
She said the library is grateful for such an incredible gift.
