MISSOULA, Mont. -

Big Sky High School seniors in Missoula are busy presenting their senior projects before the semester wraps up.

Senior Fred Moss built a hand-made electric guitar from scratch for his senior project, and he put on a mini concert Wednesday for fellow students and family members to prove that it works.

"It's actually kind of cool because every student gets the opportunity to express themselves,? Moss said about the senior project program. ?You learn from other students - what they are interested in - so it's a great opportunity to understand students and get to know students."

Senior Project Coordinator Pam Courson said Big Sky High School has had a senior project program for 13 years. The program is based on interest, and pairs each student up with a mentor.

Courson said the school district intends to eventually phase in a similar program for Missoula 5th graders and 8th graders.
