KALISPELL, Mont. -

A former Columbia Falls bank teller pled guilty on Thursday to embezzling about $11,000 from customer accounts. Investigators say Penny Sue Rhine withdrew money from bank customer?s accounts at Whitefish Credit Union between 2008 and 2009.

In exchange for her guilty plea, the state will recommend a five year deferred imposition of sentence, which is a probation period in which she may be eligible for early release after two and a half years, after paying restitution and complying with the probation rules.

Rhine is set to be sentenced on May 31.
