A Fortine man accused of attempted homicide has waived extradition, and is now on his way to Lincoln County, where he allegedly beat a girlfriend so badly she ended up in the emergency room.
Idaho jailers had put John Novarro Stone on suicide watch after officers said he tried jumping off a bridge when authorities caught up with him.
Idaho officers arrested Stone in the area of Jerry Johnson Hot Springs on Highway 12. Stone also faces a felony charge of aggravated assault.
